There is nothing like going home. Just ask starlet Gwen Stefani.
For some reason, going to the place that knew you before the rest of the world often brings up the type of emotions that one might attempt to hide anywhere else. And during her Oct. 29 show at California’s Forum in Inglewood, Gwen had trouble hiding all of those emotions in front of a sold-out audience.
“Since this was a hometown show for Stefani, she seemed a bit more emotional and at the same time uplifted by the screams of a sold out gig in familiar territory,” the Orange County Register reported. “As she aired all of her dirty laundry with songs like ‘Naughty’ and ‘Used to Love You,’ she looked to be leaning heavily on the support of the crowd, which was filled with not only adoring fans, but lifelong friends, family members and fellow artists.”
But perhaps the closest person to her at the moment is Blake Shelton, and yes, he showed up at this very important show to sing beside her during one of her most vulnerable moments.
“For every heartbreaking song on her new album, however, Stefani sprinkled in plenty of hope as she inked her thoughts on her blossoming relationship with Shelton with songs like ‘Make Me Like You’ and ‘Rare,’ according to the concert review.
God, these two are too cute.
