Let’s just first say this — Shania Twain is a treasure. She is talented and beautiful and a woman that we can all look to for inspiration.
But right now, she is also a woman that is getting a lot of flack on social media.
It all stems from Shania’s appearance on the Oct. 23 episode of “Dancing with the Stars.” Serving as a guest judge alongside regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, Shania was on hand to not only help critique the dances featured on the movie-themed episode, but also to perform a song.
And if you listen to social media, neither one went particularly well.
From ripping on her appearance to wondering if she was equipped to properly judge contestants’ dancing techniques, Shania quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.
“Shania Twain is talking as if she’s recovering from oral surgery and got a mouthful of cotton, and painkillers,” commented one Twitter user. “It’s very strange.”
Other fans accused Shania of lip-syncing during her performance of “Soldier” from the new film “Thank You For Your Service,” while professional dancers waltzed around her.
So what did you think? Was Shania just nervous? Or is social media blowing all of this out of proportion? Let us know!
