Carrie Underwood will be on hand to say a final farewell to the show that made her famous — “American Idol.”

The country superstar just confirmed to “People” that she will perform on the series finale coming up Thursday, April 7. She was crowned the season-four winner in 2005.

Of course, Keith Urban is a judge on the show’s current and final season, along with Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. We also hear there’s a good chance “American Idol” champ Scotty McCreery will be returning for the finale.

Kelly Clarkson is expected to appear on the finale, too. As you’ve no doubt seen by now, Kelly returned to “Idol” a few weeks ago and delivered a highly emotional performance of her latest hit, “Piece by Piece.”
