It was a big night for George Strait! On Nov. 16, just prior to taking the stage at the historic Gruene Hall in Texas for the first time in 30 years, George announced that he would return for a limited engagement in Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.

The country music icon will take his all-new show, “2 Nights of Number 1s,” to Vegas on April 7-8, July 28-29, Sept. 1-2, and Dec. 8-9. “Burning House” singer, Cam, will join George on those dates. The King of Country Music has a sold-out weekend on Feb. 17-18 on the books that was previously announced.

For an artist that retired from touring in 2014, it seems that George has still been playing quite a bit. He has popped up on stages with Asleep At the Wheel at South By Southwest, Alan Jackson on the CMA Awards, and even honored hit songwriter Jim Lauderdale by playing for him at the Americana Awards. There were also those first four exciting weekends in Las Vegas in 2016 with Kacey Musgraves.

If Vegas isn’t in the cards for you next year, don’t give up hope! After watching the live-stream of George’s show at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas he seemed like he was having a pretty great time onstage and maybe there will be more of those pop-ups in 2017.

Fingers crossed!
