Father and daughter bonding moments are truly special, but there comes a time in every dad’s life when his little girl grows up, and eventually forms a family of her own.

To a father, that can be pretty scary. But, it’s inevitable.

Just ask Garth Brooks — or should we say, “Grandpa Garth.”

“Anytime that a baby has a baby, you’re worried about what effects that person is going to have,” he tells KICKS 105.5 about his middle daughter, August Anna Brooks.

August was 19 years old when she gave birth to a precious baby, Karalynn, back in July 2013. It was then that Garth first became a grandpa. And while he may or may not have planned it out that way, he’s certainly overjoyed!

“It always turns out that THAT baby is the glue that holds the whole family together,” he gushed. “She’s the little stem that kind of holds the whole family together, and it’s kind of new for us… she’s going to be 3 in July, and she’s a doll.”

While Garth’s over the moon about sweet Karalynn, he can’t help but brag on his daughter, too. He’s just so proud!

“Her mama might be the best mama I’ve ever seen,” the “To Make You Feel My Love” star admits, “no offense to my mom, or Trisha Yearwood’s mom, or Sandy’s mom. I’m not sure any of them could hold a candle to my daughter. I think she was made to be a mom.”
