Garth Brooks delivered the hits, but this fan delivered so much more FOX 17

Country music fans will go to great lengths to see their favorite artists. They will drive thousands of miles and spend an enormous amount of money and rearrange their schedules to make sure that they can stand in that crowd when their star comes through town.

Yet, a couple from Michigan may have pushed it a bit too far, when a pregnant Emily Bichler scheduled her C-section for May 16 so she could attend a Garth Brooks concert in Grand Rapids on May 14.

As she watched Garth deliver the hits, it quickly became obvious that she would be delivering so much more that night. In fact, she began having contractions during the concert. “She was actually in labor during the concert,” Jacob Bichler told a Michigan television station. “We had to go to the hospital, and she was in labor.”

Just a few hours later, the happy couple welcomed their baby. And no, they didn’t name him Garth. Instead, they named him Jaxson and yes, he’s sure to be a country music fan.

“He’s got to be, especially after this,” Jacob said. “I’m definitely keeping that ticket stub for his baby book, that’s for sure.”
