Forget “50 Shades of Grey." If you want true romance, check out this heartwarming video that crooner Thomas Rhett made for his wife

We love Thomas Rhett.

So does his wife as well as thousands of fans. And for good reason.

Because when the guy is not off making an addictive single such as “Make Me Wanna” or covering another one via Bruno Mars’ megahit “When I Was Your Man,” Rhett and his team are busy splicing together clips from him and his wife Lauren’s true American love story.

In a video made as part of his campaign for “ACM New Artist of the Year,” Rhett chronicles the years where he was just a friend to his now wife Lauren and just a football player on a field falling in love with the Homecoming Queen and just a singer hoping to impress the pretty blonde sitting next to him. The video concludes with footage of the Rhetts’ wedding day on October 2, 2012.

You are one lucky girl, Lauren.

Thomas is pretty lucky himself as he is currently out on tour as part of Florida Georgia Line’s “Anything Goes Tour 2015.” The acclaimed singer/songwriter is also riding high on the success of “Make Me Wanna,” which was named by Billboard Magazine as the “Best Country Song of 2014” and is serving as quite a worthy follow-up to his last two number one hits off his debut album “It Goes Like This.”
