Flashback to when Keith Urban was just a small-town Aussie with a big-time dream YouTube

Keith Urban has been a musician since he was a young teenager, but wait until you get a look at him in his early 20’s.

The year was 1991, and while the “Class of ‘89,” including Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt and Clint Black just to name a few, were redefining country music in America, Keith Urban was still in Australia setting his sights on ruling the land Down Under.

A then 23-year-old Keith appeared on live TV to perform his first single. Never losing eye contact with the camera, Keith played up those googly eyes of his as he rocked out his first ever single on live TV.

When you look past the quintessential ’90s outfit, we have to admit, the song is pretty good. It’s also in much the same rocking vein we know and love him for.

The very next year Keith packed his bags and boarded a flight to Nashville, which as we can see, has been the best thing that ever happened to him.
