Brantley Gilbert is a trademark kind of guy – from his signature black baseball cap to his muscle shirts and those arm tattoos, but there’ s one thing that he’s put a giant stamp on that makes his fans go wild — his backflip.
Back in 2010, Brantley’s fans were first introduced to the infamous ‘Brantley backflip’ when the singer included it in the middle of his “Kick It in the Sticks” music video. Needless to say, he got plenty of attention for doing it. So much attention in fact that he continued to flip during live performances.
In 2014, the raucous musclehead embarked on his Let’s Ride Tour with buddies Eric Paslay and Thomas Rhett. During the first leg of that tour, one stop included Evansville, Ind.
In the video, you’ll see that the bad boy adds the good ole flip into his set list immediately after singing the song “Take it Outside” – off of his “Halfway to Heaven” album. Elevated by a drum riser, Brantley bangs on the drum kit’s symbols, while flames and smoke machines engulfed him. Fans got rowdy. They just couldn’t get enough of it.
Heck, neither can we.
Brantley is currently playing dates for his 2016 Blackout Tour, and while he’s a talented music artist, we think there’s another job he could always fall back on if he wanted to.
