Flashback to the moment that The Judds broke a million country hearts Associated Press

It was 25 years ago that The Judds said farewell to their fans in a massive concert broadcast live on Pay-Per-View. Though the night included many somber movements, including that final performance of “Love Can Build a Bridge,” Wynonna and Naomi Judd made it clear they were there to party.

You can see that fun attitude play out in this clip of their late-’80s hit “Give a Little Love.” What makes the performance even more amazing is the fact that Wynonna was in the doctor’s office with no voice just hours before the show. Thanks to some shots and hot tea, she was able to turn in a stellar performance.

Though they have reunited for select shows and short tours since then, The Judds seemed to be over for good when this special aired live in 1991. Naomi had been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and was unable to continue The Judds’ demanding concert schedule. Thankfully, Naomi overcame her battle with the disease and is going strong today. Wynonna and Naomi just wrapped up their short run of reunion shows at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

Wynonna is barreling full-steam ahead into 2016 as her new band, Wynonna & The Big Noise, is releasing its self-titled debut project in February.
