Fans went wild when Carrie Underwood made this unlikely pit stop between shows AP Images

Boy, Carrie Underwood sure loves hockey!

On May 6, the megastar spent the majority of her day cheering from the stands at a hockey game.

While you might think that she only has eyes for the Nashville Predators, the team that her hubby, Mike Fisher, plays for, she was actually rooting for a different group of players — the Stars and Stripes youth league at the Minnesota Made Ice Center in Edina, Minn.

“No one recognized her,” concessions attendant Brenda Biever told Star Tribune, “I checked [with] one of my kids keeping score and was like, ‘Is that Carrie Underwood right there?’”

Indeed it was.

Once they realized that the blonde was in fact Carrie sitting just a few feet away from them, Brenda, along with many other excited fans, took snaps with the star.

As you can see in the photo above, which Brenda uploaded to her Instagram, the “Church Bells” singer wasn’t all glammed up like she is during her Storyteller Tour. Instead, she kept it casual with a zipped-up track jacket and her hair in a ponytail.

Carrie told Brenda that she had the day off. So, she took to supporting one of her friend’s sons in between shows on her tour. Just the day before, she wrapped up a concert in Wisconsin. Edina was on the way to where she was headed for her next performance.

Carrie’s next tour stops include Kansas City, Missouri on May 15 and Chicago on May 17. Her Storyteller Tour will conclude on Nov. 28 in West Valley City, Utah at the Maverik Center.
