If you think back to your teenage years in high school, chances are there’s at least one awkward phase that you remember.

Perhaps you had braces, or acne or even a bad haircut. Whatever the case, most of us can probably agree that our teen years just weren’t our best. That is, unless you’re Trace Adkins.

Turns out that the “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” singer was a real stud in high school! So much so that he Tweeted out a handsome throwback photo of himself on July 6, and his social media team included the caption, “Trace was pretty cute in high school, too. #TBT.”

As you can see in the shot above, Trace’s teenage look is much different than the cowboy hatted, and bearded star that we’re used to seeing today. The younger Trace, who dons a tie, sports a clean-shaven face and a thick blonde mane.

Despite the contrast, Trace, 55, is still as brawny and toothsome as ever. His fans think so too!

“Cute then, outrageously handsome now! Go get get em country man,” one fan wrote.

“Just getting more sexy with age,” another follower added.

Good looks aside, Trace recently celebrated Independence Day on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, as part of PBS’ annual Fourth of July celebration, “A Capitol Fourth.” Watch his performance here.
