The family of the missing country singer in Oklahoma still needs your prayers.
Craig Strickland, lead singer of the band Backroad Anthem, disappeared after his boat capsized on a hunting trip. His dog has been found alive, but Strickland’s hunting buddy was found dead.
Though they’ve been looking for Strickland all week, the search hasn’t turned up any leads. Strickland’s wife, Helen, is turning to God in a big way during this difficult time.

She posted the following Bible verse on Twitter: “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” – Psalm 56:8

Amazingly enough, one of the Strickland family’s friends found one of Craig’s old Bibles in a closet at their house. The Bible contained several scriptures the missing singer had highlighted over the years.

Helen writes on Instagram, “These bible verses, which spoke to Craig, reminds us of God’s intentions for our lives. No matter the outcome of this circumstance, the truth of God’s word can comfort and give strength to each of us. He loves you and I, and desires good for our lives. Therefore, every difficult situation CAN be used for good. I am so thankful God allowed the holy spirit to lead our friend to Craig’s Bible. I pray that the truth of His words would wash over each of you as it did for Craig and his family. Thank you Craig Michael for sharing with us the wisdom that the Lord shared with you. And thank you Lord for giving us the opportunity to share Your truth through Craig’s legacy.”
