Ever wonder how country artists pick who will headline a major concert tour? It's not as tricky as you might think

Two of country’s rising stars are going out on tour with each other this fall, leaving one to wonder – just how do they pick who will headline?

Who will have their name bigger on the marquee?

Who will get to wait until the audience is good and warmed up?

Who will sing the encore at the end of the night?

It turns out it can be as simple as a coin toss.

Or at least that’s how it looks from this video in which CMT on Tour tour mates Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett do everything from a coin toss to a push up contest to see who will take the top billing when they head out on the road together this fall.

Heck, they even got their light sabers out.

Both Eldredge and Rhett seem to have enough reasons why their name should be on top. Rhett is currently hyping his new song and video for “Crash and Burn” and recently, Eldredge announced plans for the release of his second album “Illinois” on September 11th, which includes his current single “Lose My Mind”. “I’m so excited to be releasing a new album,” said Eldredge in a recent press release. “We’ve been performing a few of the new songs in our show and I can’t wait for fans to hear all of it.”
