Even after a hard loss, this country star’s son shows him he’s a winner Instagram/@dierksbentley

It’s fun to see the little personalities developing in country music’s kids. Some of them are showing a possibility of following in their famous mommies’ and daddies’ footsteps, displaying a penchant for music. Others are going in a completely different direction.

It looks like Dierks Bentley’s son is following in his daddy’s footsteps, but not necessarily musically.

Yep, little Knox Bentley is strapping on skates and following Dierks’ passion for ice hockey. We aren’t sure what position he plays, but we’re guessing that at the age of four, it’s as much about staying upright on the ice and scoring goals as it is about staying in your zone. Regardless, he seems to enjoy both playing and watching the sport.

So, when both of the Bentley boys had hockey games on the same night, little Knox got a chance to root for Pops after he finished his own event.

Unfortunately, Knox didn’t get to see his daddy win. Dierks’ hockey team lost 7 to 1. But, as he has mentioned numerous times, they all got together to have fun. Winning is a side effect.

And while Dierks’ hockey team may have lost, from the looks of it, he still won pretty big.
