Don’t get country rapper Colt Ford angry.
“I answer my Twitter messages myself and it’s amazing the things some people say,” Ford told Rare Country about some of the mild backlash to his latest video “Cut ‘Em All. “Somebody said something ugly about it and I was like, ‘Man this is fun!’ It’s a song! It’s not supposed to be chiseled in stone, whatever you think it is. ‘Dumb and Dumber’ ain’t ‘The Godfather.’ It’s just a funny song. I might need to go knock on some people’s doors and see if they would say that if I was standing there.”
Go get ‘em Colt.
In Nashville to perform at Charlie Daniels 40th Anniversary Volunteer Jam, Ford said he loved working with his dear friend Willie Robertson on the video.
“I’ve known Willie for a long time and we have been friends for quite a few years,” said Ford of the video for the song that will be featured on his upcoming album “Answer to No One: The Colt Ford Classics.” “It was fun for Willie to be a part of it and for him to take his time to do it. He just shot his 100th episode of ‘Duck Dynasty’ here in Nashville.”
