Blake Shelton has spilled many secrets on the set of “The Voice.” Heck, it’s where he first showed the world his flirtation with his current love, Gwen Stefani. So when Blake appeared with the host of “The Voice,” Carson Daly, to make a special announcement, fans weren’t quite sure what he was even up to this time.
You just never know with Blake.
The announcement on the April 18 live episode of the singing competition show ended up being the unveiling of the cover of his new album, “If I’m Honest,” which is set for release on May 20.
“Look at the head on that guy!” joked the 39-year-old country music superstar. “I’m excited about it. I literally think it’s the best I can do.”
“That’s all you got, right here?” Carson quipped back. “What are you going to say on the next album?”
“That’s probably going to be my last album,” Blake joked — at least we hope he was joking. “I’m just a coach on ‘The Voice” from now on.”
The new album will include the album’s lead single, “Came Here To Forget,” along with the recently released “Savior’s Shadow,” which reached the top spot on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Chart.
“In all the years I’ve been doing this, I’ve never received this kind of reaction to a song,” Blake said in a recent press release.
