Darius Rucker proved he’s one of country music’s funniest stars when he appeared on NBC’s “Hollywood Game Night” this week. Sitting next to Spice Girls star Mel B and comedian Andy Richter, Darius was a true asset to his team as they played some pretty outrageous games.

Of course, Darius was a pro at playing “How Do You Doo-Et,” a game that called for contestants to sing the melody of popular songs only using the word “doo.” He quickly identified or sang a wide range of tunes, including “Let It Go” from “Frozen” and “Get Down Tonight” by K.C. and the Sunshine Band.

Our favorite moment of the show happened during the game “Get in My Pants,” though. Darius and his team each got into oversize pants with a hula hoop around the middle. The name of a celebrity was written on each pair of pants, and Darius’s pants had Dr. Phil’s name emblazoned on them. The host asked questions and, if your celebrity’s name was the answer to that question, you had to catch a ball in your pants.

Sounds a little crazy, but Darius was an ace at getting the ball in his pants.

Of course, Darius couldn’t be on the show and not sing a little bit. He broke out his Hootie & The Blowfish smash “Only Wanna Be With You” to bring them back in from commercial. Darius joked, “I was 12 when I wrote that.” Darius also treated them to a performance of “Hold My Hand” with Derek Hough helping out on drums.

As for his new country music, Darius just released his new single, “For the First Time.” It’s the follow-up to his latest No. 1 hit, “If I Told You.” Both songs appear on his upcoming studio album, “When Was the Last Time,” due out October 20.
