And on July 6, fans got their first look at the enormous project that the couple has taken on. “I can’t wait to see this house transform,” Amy wrote on Instagram, next to a pic of herself and her husband in front of the home they are preparing to rehab.

“Here with our contractor Steve on our first day,” added Dale Jr., alongside the same pic. “Renovation project for our upcoming @diynetwork show. This house is a colossal mess. Gonna be an interesting trip. #DaleJrProject#lotsofsweatinginvolved”

Of course, it will be interesting to see how the couple handles the “colossal mess.” As any couple knows, it can be hard just getting through life together without the occasional argument. And just like any other couple, Amy and Dale Jr. have undoubtedly had their share of arguments. During a recent podcast, Dale Jr. and Amy spoke out about a recent disagreement that had about him racing in the Clash at Daytona next year following his planned retirement.

“I was telling everybody my stock answer or my go-to answer for anybody asking me, ‘Hey, you gonna run the Clash now that you’ve got the pole?’ was, ‘I’ll see what the boss says,’” Earnhardt said. “And everybody’s rebuttal was, ‘Is that Amy or Rick [Hendrick]?’ ‘Cause I’ve got two bosses now.”
