Craig Strickland’s death prompts Backroad Anthem to make a devastating decision youtube

The death of Craig Strickland, the lead singer for up-and-coming country rock band Backroad Anthem, has put the group in a quandary of what to do next. While there may be plans set for the upcoming funeral for family and friends, as a band there is no how-to sheet on how to handle something like this.

The guys’ first action as a band since Strickland’s body was found was to fast forward their plans and release the video for the title track of their brand new EP “Torn.” Haters will speculate they did it to capitalize on their newfound publicity to sell some records, but people that know them know say they did it out of love for their fallen band mate.

“Last year we shot a music video for our song “Torn,” the band said in a statement on their official Facebook page. “We wanted to finally release the video and share with everyone so you could have a chance to see Craig doing what he loved.  We are so proud of how it turned out, and we know Craig was too.”
