God knows Eric Church has a heart of gold. It’s just that many people don’t get to see it.
But with the debut of this new song, a whole lot more people are about to feel it.
The song is called “Three Year Old,” and after an endearing story about Church’s own young son and their fishing adventures, the often stoic Church broke out in a smile and a song that just about hit everyone in attendance right in the heart during his July 30 performance at Nashville’s brand new Ascend Amphitheater.
The song talks of the revelations of a child – the fact that they can teach you more than any book can. The lyrics hit on saying I love you “all day long” and “when you are wrong, you should just say so.” And the last line results in a realization that Church learned all of those life lessons “from a three-year-old.”
And now, the world is going to learn that from you Mr. Church.
Can someone grab us some tissues?
Church will return for another sold out show at Ascend Amphitheater on July 31, and we hope to hear this one again.
