When you look at Faith Hill, you see a woman who seemingly has it all – stunning good looks, an amazing husband in Tim McGraw, and a life and career that most of us could only dream of. But then there are moments when we look at Faith and are reminded that she is just like us – she is someone who experiences both joy and pain each and every day.

And Sunday, Oct. 30 was surely one of her most painful days.

According to an obituary, Faith’s mother Edna Perry passed away at the age of 80 years old in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation took place on Oct. 31, and her funeral will be private. Country fans will recall that Edna and her husband, Wesley “Ted” Perry, adopted Faith when was just days old and raised her in Star, Mississippi.

During an interview with talk show host Larry King back in 2006, Faith reminisced about her childhood.

“I actually had a pretty amazing childhood,” she said. “I was adopted, if that’s what you’re referring to, but my family, my mom and my dad and my brothers, they are amazing, very stable, good Christian, God-fearing home, and a great small town of Star, Mississippi. I actually had a really stable childhood.”

We send all of our love and prayers to Faith and her family at this painful time.
