Country singer mysteriously disappears while on hunting trip Twitter

A country singer from Arkansas is missing after going on a duck hunting trip with a friend in Oklahoma. Craig Strickland, lead singer of the band, Backroad Anthem, has not been found, but the body of his friend, Chase Morland, has been recovered.

According to TV station KFSM, the two friends were reported missing Sunday night after their boat capsized on Kaw Lake. Authorities still consider the search for Strickland a rescue mission at this time.

According to a post on the band’s Facebook page, the search for Strickland will resume Tuesday morning. The band goes on to say, “Hoping against the odds. We can’t even stand to think about it. We are devastated. Only God & time can put us back together. Love all!” They also took to Twitter to request prayers from fans.

Before the trip, Morland actually posted a tweet Saturday that seems eerie in light of recent events. It said, “In case we don’t come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.”
