Luke Bryan has never had a problem declaring his love for Lionel Richie. He has often talked about the role Lionel’s music has played in his life and how Lionel remains one of his greatest music inspirations. In fact, Luke has even said that Lionel’s classic “Stuck on You” was the first song he sung for his wife, and it’s one that he often brings out in his tour set list.
So, this latest news must have blown Luke’s mind.
On Feb. 10, People Magazine confirmed that Luke will perform at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 15 to salute Lionel, who is being honored as the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year. Luke will join John Legend, Demi Lovato and Meghan Trainor in a tribute to the musical legend, and joins country artists such as Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt scheduled to perform at the awards show.
The Grammy Awards will air live Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
