Could this adorable tyke be country music's newest backup singer? Twitter/@camcountry

There are so many great singers and musicians in Nashville that the saying goes, “Shake a tree and a great drummer/guitarist/singer falls out.” The talent is abundant for sure and when an artist needs a band member or background vocalist, they have a deep pool to draw from and often they have a friend who can fill the bill. Sometimes they’ll even have auditions for a vacancy.

Cam found on social media what could be a new backup singer — 15 or 20 years down the road that is. The country star, known for her yellow wardrobe and blonde ringlets, shared a video on her Twitter page of a tow-headed tot literally belting out a bit of the singer’s newest hit single, “Mayday.”

Now, background vocalists do have to have voices as good as the singer they’re supporting, but often they also have some pretty smooth moves, too. They swing, sway, rock, snap and clap to the music without distracting from the star. Rest assured, this young lady has moves, too, as she thrashes around with her pale pink “wubbie” as if extinguishing a fire. Awesome!

Obviously, Cam can’t take this tyke on the road with her yet (child labor laws and all) but it is an impressive display of showmanship. And if we knew this cutie’s name, we’d have her on our radar for future Rare Country coverage.

For now, though, we’re going to watch this one over and over again.
