During a week where country music superstar Blake Shelton has found himself heading to Twitter to shoot down rumors and announce pop-up shows, he also found something to really put his support behind.
And no, it’s not a presidential candidate.
Instead, Blake seemed especially touched by a video that quickly went viral from none other than his love, Gwen Stefani. “Now THIS is what they should be writing about,” Blake said in a July 28 tweet after standing up for himself regarding the number of stories out there about things Blake supposedly said.
Blake then referred back to a video from Gwen’s Instagram page, where she shared the following story. “About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world,” Gwen said in the caption. “Last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers.”

About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world – last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers 🙏🏻 #zerotoleranceforbullies #onelove #thisiswhatthetruthfeelslike Gx
The video goes on to show Gwen seeing a sign in the audience of a young boy who had been bullied for years in grade school, but listened to Gwen’s music to get him through it. She then invited the boy up onstage, where they shared a hug that neither of them will probably ever forget.
