Check out "American Idol" winner Nick Fradiani hanging out with some country cuties

49 million people in America go hungry.

49,000,000.

It’s just a staggering number to me,” explained Big Machine Label Group artist Cassadee Pope, who travelled to Minneapolis recently alongside country cutie RaeLynn and “American Idol” Season 14 champion Nick Fradiani to play a private concert at the General Mills headquarters in support of the “Outnumber Hunger” campaign. “(The Outnumber Hunger campaign) is all about raising awareness as to how many people are going hungry in America. It could be a fan in the crowd or it can be a neighbor.”

The Outnumber Hunger initiative “helped secure more than 35 million meals for the 1 in 6 Americans who may not know where their next meal will come from,” explained a recent press release. Many fans have been exposed to the initiative via specially marked packages of General Mills’ products.

Alongside the Feeding America organization, BMLG and Outnumber Hunger have worked to help fight hunger since 2011. “To be one of the artists featured this time around and to be at this concert today is just so cool,” added RaeLynn, who is up for Breakthrough and Female Video of the Year at the upcoming CMT Music Awards in Nashville and is currently out on tour with Rascal Flatts.
