Carrie Underwood has her first-ever entertainer of the year nomination going into The 50th Annual CMA Awards on Nov. 2, and no one wants her to win it more than her pal, Brad Paisley.

Carrie and Brad have been co-hosting the CMA Awards for many years now, and he thinks she’s got a really good chance of taking home that top prize.

Brad says, “It’s a tough category. Everyone in that is amazing and wonderful. But, this is someone who has put on one of the greatest tours that anyone has ever done in our format this year. She’s pulled out all the stops. Nothing would make me happier than to see her win.”

He adds, “Underwood 2016 — that’s the team I’m on.”

Carrie is truly honored to be in the Entertainer category, along with Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Chris Stapleton.

She says, “To be nominated in that category — in any category, but definitely in that one in particular. It’s just, like, wow. We’ll see what happens. We’ve had such a great year, but I’m blessed either way.”

The 50th Annual CMA Awards airs at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, Nov. 2 on ABC.
