Carrie Underwood is one of the biggest stars in country music. So, it makes total sense that her face would be plastered on everything from giant billboards, to posters to even something as simple as a T-shirt. But the latest item to feature the country hit-maker’s beautiful face holds a bit more meaning to one of her super fans.
Kansas resident Lawrence Young, who claims to be Carrie’s “ultimate” fan, got the outside of his 2017 Chevy Silverado truck completely wrapped with photos singer’s image. But he didn’t do it without the help of his son’s graphic design skills.
After the wrap, he shared some pictures of the finished project with his friends and followers on Facebook. And the details are amazing, y’all!
As you take a look at the shots below, you’ll notice just how much time Lawrence and his son spent on the project.
The superstar’s face practically covers the entire exterior of the vehicle. Pictures of her wearing stage costumes are splashed across the back of the truck, while closeup shots take up a good portion of the front doors.
But even though Carrie’s face is the one that’s featured on the pickup truck, Lawrence had someone else in mind when he was completing the 10-day, $2,000 project. You see, the fascinating work of art also serves as a dedication to his late wife, Kathi, who died in 2010.
According to The Blast, Kathi passed away after suffering from severe brain damage due to “complications from fibromyalgia surgery.” Before she died, she told her husband to, “Stick with Carrie’s music and it will help you through life.”
How sweet and thoughtful of Lawrence to keep his wife’s advice in mind. And, for the record, Lawrence isn’t planning on selling his beautiful masterpiece to anyone just yet, despite having been offered $175,000 for it. But he does want Carrie to autograph the hood.
He also says Carrie songs are the only music he allows to be played in the truck.
And, it seems like Carrie is in high demand these days, as she is nominated for not one but four awards in this year’s Rare Country Awards. She earned nominations in the categories of Female Artist, Duet, Grand Ole Opry Moment and Story of the Year, and it’s up to you to decide the winners.
