Fresh off her big female vocalist win at the CMA Awards Nov. 4, Carrie Underwood finds herself in the running for another big trophy. She’s been named among the final five nominees for artist of the year at the American Music Awards.
Carrie is the only country act in the running for that all-genre award. The other finalists are Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez.
Clearly, we’re all rooting for our girl Carrie Underwood at Rare Country. She’s the only country nominee, so a win for Carrie is clearly a win for our format of music. Since the American Music Awards are fan-voted, you can help Carrie take home the big prize by simply retweeting this tweet.
That’s right. Each retweet counts as a vote for Carrie, so get cracking!
At this point, we know that Florida Georgia Line will be presenting on the American Music Awards. We’ve got our fingers crossed Carrie will be joining the performers lineup, too.
The 2016 American Music Awards broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, Nov. 20 on ABC.
