Since giving birth to precious son Isaiah who celebrated his first birthday on Feb. 27, 2016, Carrie Underwood has been in full mommy mode, making moves to accommodate her main man, and that includes putting her blonde mane on the chopping block.

“Cutting my hair was a ‘mom’ move,” she said in a recent interview with ELLE.

We first spotted Carrie sporting the bob back in 2015. Now that the “Heartbeat” singer has finally revealed the true reason behind saying sayonara to those golden tresses, we can only assume that making these new life changes has to be pretty challenging for Carrie, but that’s just not the case.

“Things have just definitely gotten simpler [since having a baby],” she said. “I blow out my hair with a round brush, and I’m good. It’s not complicated at all, and I’m out the door still feeling good, but that’s the the simplest level [of upkeep] I do.”

While ditching the long luscious locks may have been a bold decision by Carrie, she’s proved that she can pull off any hairstyle. Embracing motherhood, the gifted singer seems to have all of her priorities in the right place.

“I could spend half an hour to blow it dry and have it be super long, or I could spend that time playing with my son, and I’d much rather do the latter,” she said.
