Carrie Underwood’s got a lot on her plate. Heck, she’s a wife, mother and megastar all rolled into one.
But aside from everything else, she’s a seriously fit chick with killer legs and toned arms!
Carrie caught up with TODAY correspondent Jenna Bush Hager to share some of her workout routine secrets. And, just like we thought — they look tough! The two went back to Carrie’s hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma where they visited the gym of the “Heartbeat” singer’s alma matter.
“I grew up here my whole life,” Carrie tells Jenna, “My parents still live here, so this is home. It will always be home. This is the only place in the world I can feel like I can turn off.’”
And just like Carrie, everybody’s got to start somewhere. As for those hardcore workouts, the country star admits that she got a head start by playing sports like baseball and softball in high school.
“I love seeing progress. I feel better about myself because I’m like ‘Oh, my clothes fit me, that’s awesome,’” says Carrie. “It doesn’t have to be spent in a gym. I’m lucky that I live in a place where we’ve got a lot of hills around. My baby loves being outside so, I put him in a stroller and go.”
Of course, even the strong songstress admits that she’s got her weakness.
“I’m mostly vegan, but sometimes cheese is a problem — and it’s a problem!” Carrie laughed.
