“It has been a couple of years since we’ve gone anywhere,” the blonde bombshell told EXTRA this year regarding the married couple’s urge to take a family trip. “We just like to relax, give us a beach somewhere, a lake, we’re good, we’re easy to please.”

But setting sail near the beautiful shores of Cabo wouldn’t have happened if Carrie and Mike hadn’t kept their love alive all these years. In a 2012 interview with Oprah, the lovebirds admitted that faith plays a big role in keeping their bond strong.

“I think we’re very similar,” said Mike, “We both grew up in Christian families. We experienced life, and then all of a sudden [we experienced] fame. We are able to connect in different situations. Spiritually, we are able to be on the same page and understood each other and that was part of the connection we had. Now, it’s a big part of our marriage, for sure.”

Carrie added that her and Mike also pray and read uplifting pages out of books together. She even admitted that the pair reads to one another over the phone.

“I love it when we can find things that ask us a question at the bottom of the page,” said Carrie. “You know like, ‘this is the thing to think about today, and how can you apply this to your own life?’”

Oh, Carrie, you continue to inspire us in more ways than one!
