Cam just tore the roof off with this haunting “Burning House” performance YouTube

Who knew that a horrifying nightmare could lead to a hit song?

Well, it did for country newcomer Cam.

On March 21, 2016, the singer performed her vulnerable smash-hit “Burning House” on CBS’ “The Talk.” Opting for a white and tan ensemble, the curly haired songstress who we often tie to sunny yellow outfits, slayed the song with her smoking pipes accompanied by the sweet and delicate sounds of guitar picking.

“Burning House,” which laid the groundwork for Cam’s career, caught fire when she performed it on The Bobby Bones Show. Inspired by an old flame, the breakthrough hit stemmed out of a bad break-up and a vivid dream that she had while in college.

From a whirlwind of success with the song, co-host Sharon Osborne asked her what her best moment has been so far.

“I was Grammy nominated. So, I got to go to the Grammy’s, which is incredible,” says Cam. “…and I got to meet one of my idol’s on the red carpet – Bonnie Raitt.”

It looks like Cam will be attending plenty of red carpet events in the future. The bubbly blonde is now nominated for four ACM awards. The 51st ACM Awards will air live on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
