“Burning House” singer Cam is really thankful for her daddy this Father’s Day. She tells Rare Country he’s always been the “sweetest” to her, her mom and sister.

Even though she’s one of country’s hottest rising stars, Cam still relies on her dad’s support.

She says, “If I call him, and he’s at work, and he’s in a meeting, he still takes my call. He’ll be like, ‘What’s going on?'”

Judging from her hit “Burning House” and her new single, “Mayday,” it’s clear Cam is one of the most creative newcomers in the country game today. She’s also a hard worker, and a big part of that drive comes from her dad.

“He’s definitely inspired me in terms of work ethic and creative thinking,” Cam explains. “He’s also super creative. He and my mom both are into construction management and architecture and stuff. So, they love designing things and working on homes.”

As Cam faces challenges in her career, she just keeps her dad’s example in mind.

She adds, “I feel like my dad has been a great role model for how to sort of be creative but also persevere in a business. There’s something about knowing when to just push through and not letting your ego get in the way. There’s millions of lessons from him, but he’s a great father.”
