Brooks & Dunn crushed country fans when they said goodbye back in 2010. The greatest duo in country music history was no more, or at least that’s what they had us all thinking.

While fans have longed for a full-on reunion for years, the country duo teased us in 2015 when they reunited to play some select shows with Reba as part of a residency in Las Vegas.

Now the guys have taken their teasing to the next level.

While it’s not the full-on reunion fans are clamoring for, the guys are getting together for some new music — one song to be exact. When Ronnie Dunn releases his new single you’ll hear an all-too-familiar voice on vocals as he asked his longtime partner, Kix Brooks, to sing it.

“Kix was gracious enough to do that,” Ronnie told Rolling Stone.

While the video was shot in New Mexico it was shot sans Kix, who joked, “He wasn’t so gracious as to ask me to be in the video.”

While it may not be the complete reunion we are all hoping for, live shows and a new song are definitely a step in the right direction. The duo had more good news to share with fans. While their initial two-year Vegas deal is slated to come to an end in 2016, Dunn noted that they have already signed on for a longer stay.
