We’ve always known that country titan Blake Shelton has some balls, but did you know he also has some mad b-ball skills?
Heck, even his fellow “The Voice” mentor Adam Levine didn’t seem to know.
In a promotional video for the Sept. 21 premiere of “The Voice,” some of the all too common banter between Shelton and Levine began with Shelton mentioning that he used to be known as “hookshot Shelton.” Obviously, that got Levine riled up, prompting a departure from their red chairs and into the outdoors for a battle of basketball proportions.
“I used to shoot a basketball into a knothole on a tree because that’s all we had,” Shelton expressed to Levine.
The battle began, with Shelton basically missing nearly everything he shot. “Stop wasting my time,” Levine could be heard saying.
“I can’t make ‘em,” Shelton snapped back, sounding a tad desperate.
But just then, Shelton started hitting his sweet spot, with both mentors actually landing some sweet shots. But hey, if the basketball thing doesn’t work out, Shelton always has a good ole music career to throw back on. In fact, Shelton recently received two nominations for the upcoming CMA Awards for “Male Vocalist of the Year” and also “Musical Event of the Year” for his rendition of “Lonely Tonight” with Ashley Monroe.
