It seems like Blake Shelton is everywhere these days. From putting out a new record, to finding love with rock star Gwen Stefani to even turning around in his red chair on “The Voice.”
He’s ‘No Doubt’ the hot topic of conversation — pun intended.

But that wasn’t the case a year ago. In fact, the “Came Here To Forget” singer admits he felt like he was facing a downward spiral due to his painful divorce with fellow country star, Miranda Lambert.
“This time last year, there was no light at the end of the tunnel for me personally,” Blake tells PEOPLE, “There was a point there where I thought that I didn’t even want to exist anymore.”
He added, “I told people I wished I could go into a coma and wake up a year from now.”
Through the struggle of coping with personal heartbreak, Blake was able to get through the anguish when he was blessed with the twist of fate of finding romance with Gwen. Strangely enough, the “Misery” singer was too going through a similar situation at the time with, now, ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale.
Earlier this year, Blake even credited Gwen for saving his life in an interview with CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown.
Aside from Blake’s newfound happiness with Gwen, Miranda also found a new flame with soul musician, Anderson East.
Blake and Miranda finalized their divorce back in July 2015, saying in a statement, “This is not the future we envisioned.”
