Everyone deserves to be happy. Heck, the Declaration of Independence even ensures our right to the pursuit of happiness. Blake Shelton has a couple of ways that he pursues happiness. One is hanging out with his girlfriend Gwen Stefani. The other is dropping a line in the water and going fishing.
But the two don’t mesh very well.
In an interview with “Access Hollywood,” Blake said that conditions have to be optimum for Gwen to join him on the bass boat. “Gwen’s not really into fishing at all. In fact, getting her out on the water, if it’s too hot, she won’t even get out then. So, you’ve got to have the perfect day to get Gwen out there. But when it is the right day, it’s hard to get her off the water. We love to get out there and just float around. We don’t fish, we just hang out together.” He paused, then added, “It’s a good view when Gwen Stefani is in the boat with you.”
Blake also said that the future has never looked brighter for him personally. So, obviously, fishing isn’t a deal breaker for him.
And we aren’t sure there’s even time for fishing these days. Blake is super busy promoting his upcoming album, “Texoma Shore,” which drops on Nov. 3, and he’s also in the throes of season 13 of “The Voice.” The knockout rounds just started with Kelly Clarkson as an advisor, and they’ll continue next week.
So far, all four teams look strong and seem to be offering Blake, the winningest judge, some fierce competition.
