Blake Shelton proved that he just might do his best work in the morning YouTube

Blake Shelton’s schedule is quite a whirlwind at the moment, as he prepares for the release of his brand-new album “If I’m Honest” on May 20. As part of that whirlwind, Blake made an early morning appearance May 19 on “Today” to perform his current single, “Came Here to Forget.”

And yes, he just might do his finest work in the morning, because Blake was in fine form. But before the performance, Blake opened up about his hectic schedule, including the release of his new album to his role in the upcoming “The Angry Birds Movie” to his planned duet with love Gwen Stefani at the Billboard Music Awards on May 22.

“I feel like I am doing what I am supposed to be doing as a country artist, which is singing about my experiences, so basically that’s what I am doing on this entire album,” Blake explained. “Everyone else is chasing in on my life – I might as well, too.”

Blake admitted that he understands the phenomenon.

“We could not be, on paper, be any more different,” he continues. “It’s just an odd idea but it’s a lot of fun.”
