And just like that, the final curtain has come down on Blake Shelton’s “Country Music Freaks Tour.”
We know, we know … it’s sad to think about, because what a lineup, right?
Trace Adkins, Brett Eldredge and Carly Pearce served as special guests on the tour, and it appears they, too, had a bittersweet weekend saying goodbye to all their friends and road family, especially newcomer Carly.
“I can’t believe it’s the last night of the ‘Country Music Freaks Tour.’ Thank you @blakeshelton for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. I will forever be so proud to be a ‘freak,’” she captioned the amazing photo above.
Carly also posted this insane video of her duet with Blake on “Lonely Tonight,” a song he originally recorded as a duet with Ashley Monroe that Carly sounds absolutely amazing on!
“One of the best singers in the dang business, y’all. I’ll miss singing with you every night @blakeshelton!!! ❤ #lastnight #lonelytonight #blakeshelton,” the Kentucky native posted.
“LOVED touring with these ‘freaks’… oops, I mean fellas. #countrymusicfreaks tour,” she captioned another photo with Blake, Brett and Trace.
Let’s not forget this was the tour where Carly and Brett’s Instagram-famous dog, Edgar Boogie, fell in love …
And she also got to fan girl over Blake’s boo, Gwen Stefani …
“I’m a fan girl tonight,” Carly posted.
And she got it do it all with her friends right by her side, both on and off stage.
Brett had similar emotions with his crew during the last weekend of the run … or maybe it was just because it was St. Patrick’s Day and there was too much whiskey floating around …
“Backstage St. Paddy’s weirdos!!!! What a crew,” he captioned the shot above.
Yes, what a bunch! Edgar is the only who actually knows how to behave, from the looks of things!
Brett made some amazing memories on this tour, too, ones he’ll likely never forget.
“Singin in a sea of fireflies in Atlanta! What an awesome night! Goodnight everyone,” he captioned one shot from the road.
We’re personally gonna miss the bromance between Trace and Blake. These longtime friends always pick up right where they left off.
Yes, goodnight all you country music freaks! Until the next time they all tour together, which we hope will totally be soon. Let your country music freak flags fly!
In the meantime, Carly is out this year with Luke Bryan’s “What Makes You Country Tour,” while Brett is headlining his own “The Long Way Tour.”
Blake, we’ll see you and Trace on NBC’s “The Voice!”
