Blake Shelton finally brought some good ole country to the CMT Music Awards CMT

If y’all are anything like us, there was a moment during the CMT Music Awards where we wondered where the country music was. And then, The Oak Ridge Boys appeared. And paired with Blake Shelton, it became the true country music highlight of the night.

Blake joined The Oak Ridge Boys on a rousing rendition of his song “Doing It To Country Songs,” which is featured on his current album “If I’m Honest.”

And while that performance alone could have been good enough, the group then went into an amazing version of “Elvira.” The reaction to the performance was instantaneous, as country mainstays such as Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw rose up from their seats to sway back in forth to the sound of good ole country music… finally.
