Blake Shelton may not miss his curly mullet from the ’90s, but he certainly does love having a thick head of hair.

He made that clear when he pointed out the not so luscious locks of  his friend, Montgomery Gentry singer Eddie Montgomery.

“Me and Eddie Montgomery performing in a bar that probably doesn’t exist anymore. Back when he STILL didn’t have hair,” Blake wrote on Instagram on Sept. 1, alongside a throwback photo of himself and Eddie sharing the stage.

Regardless of Eddie’s lack of hair, which was covered up by a ball cap, he’s still looked handsome. But, perhaps Blake could have loaned his pal some of that glorious mullet. He certainly had a full mane!

Eddy is the latest star to take a public ribbing from Blake on social media, as the “Sangria” singer has lately been sharing numerous throwback photos of himself with some his favorite stars.

Prior to the photo with Eddie, Blake called out NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler for almost getting him fired by drinking at a no-alcohol gig when he was in his 20s. Before that, he hilariously insulted stars Trace Adkins and Joe Nichols.

Of course, the jokes are all part of Blake’s funny guy persona, which we can expect to see during NBC’s “The Voice,” as he is currently filming for the new season, which begins Sept. 25.
