Summer vacation usually means the beach, lake or cabin, swimming, boating or fishing — you know, relaxing and having fun. And even though school is out for a couple of months, that doesn’t mean learning something new can’t be fun! Especially when Blake Shelton is part of your summer break.

Blake and Gwen Stefani have been enjoying some time off by spending it on the lake with Gwen’s boys, and it looks like they are all having a ball. Even when a side trip to the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Suphur, Oklahoma, became part of the itinerary, the fun was still abundant.

Gwen shared a series of Snapchat images and video from their visit to the center that the “IG Gwen and Blake” team turned into an awesome YouTube piece. You can see the kids enjoying the exhibits and shows, and decorating their own shakers that they played along with one of the facility’s artists. In fact, it appears that one of the musicians who shows off his homemade instruments was a high school classmate of Blake’s.

Even though he’s an Oklahoma native, Blake had never visited the center previously. He shared a photo on his Instagram page saying, “Had an incredible time today at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Can’t believe I haven’t seen it before.”

Both Gwen and Blake received gifts from the staff at the center, including a stunning beaded collar for the beautiful rock icon and a hand-beaded knife made from flint stone for her country star partner.

It’s growing more obvious the impact that Blake’s laid-back country life is having on Gwen and her kids. But seeing the boys dressed in camo or cowboy boots and pearl snaps, and hearing little Apollo call the country star “Blakey” just takes it up a notch.

We can’t predict what the future holds for Blake and Gwen, but their life is giving us all of the fairy tale feels.
