Birthday girl Miranda Lambert celebrates the year that was AP Photo/Tony Gutierrez

As Miranda Lambert turns 33 on Nov. 10, the country superstar doesn’t have much time to waste looking back on her past. Instead, she’s looking forward to what looks to be an incredible future.

She was just announced as a performer at this year’s “Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS,” where she will appear with everyone from Sting to the casts of “The Color Purple,” “On Your Feet!” and “School of Rock.”

She’s also getting ready to release her new album “The Weight Of These Wings” on Nov. 18. The album promises to give fans an inside look at the next step in her musical journey, which has included “Kerosene” (2005), “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (2007), “Revolution” (2009), “Four The Record” (2011) and “Platinum” (2014).

If that wasn’t enough, the first song off the new album, “Vice,” puts Miranda in the perfect place of her career for making a statement about the life she has lived and the one she remains committed to as she celebrates her birthday.
