Is this just a strange coincidence or what?

On June 6, 2015, Miranda Lambert took to the stage at Joe’s Bar in Chicago to spin No Doubt’s breakout hit, “Spiderwebs.”

Yep, that’s right — last year the “White Liar” singer sang a cover of her, now, ex-husband Blake Shelton’s new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani’s song.

In the clip above Miranda dons a white tank top that spells out the words “I Love Joe’s On Weed” and rocks a pair of black fishnets. Looking as carefree as ever, she grips the microphone to belt out the lyrics “I’m walking in a spider web, leave a message and I’ll call you back,” alongside her buddy who ironically is also named Gwen — “The Voice” season two competitor Gwen Sebastian. And, it’s interesting to see that the megastar ditched her country roots to power through the 1995 hit.

Needless to say, she slayed it!

Oddly enough, at that time, Miranda and Blake had not yet called it quits on their marriage. In fact, the Texan was still wearing her wedding ring. However, the two did enter splitsville just a short month later. Then, in November 2015, “The Voice” coaches Blake and Gwen hit it off.

With all the hoopla surrounding Blake and Gwen these days, we have a feeling that Miranda wouldn’t mind lighting the torch on this video.

Miranda is currently on the road for her Keeper of the Flame Tour. While you won’t be catching her cover of “Spiderwebs” on it, she does channel a few other covers, which include Little Feat’s “Willin,” Danny O’Keefe’s “Covered Wagon,” Foghat’s “Slow Ride” and Billy Squier’s “The Stroke.”
