Are Brooks and Dunn officially back as a country duo?

Maybe it’s time to get your hopes up yet again country fans.

Because from the looks of the smiles on the faces of award-winning country duo Brooks and Dunn during their performance at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards on April 19, they just might be here to stay.

Reuniting for a rousing performance of their mega hit “My Maria,” Brooks and Dunn allowed for some good ole reminiscing for country fans, who have been craving some of the duo’s sweet harmonies since they went on a amicable break a few years back.

Now, the two are preparing to join Reba McEntire in Vegas for a string of shows. “We haven’t rehearsed yet,” Ronnie Dunn joked during an after show press conference on the Vegas shows that begin in June at Caesar’s Palace. “Reba just emailed us last week and we had our first meeting on Saturday about things like what are we going to wear. In the words of Reba, she doesn’t want us looking like ‘Reba and the Good Ole Boys’.”

And while the duo wasn’t up for any  ACM awards at the April 19 telecast, they did receive the night’s coveted Milestone Award with fellow country artists such as George Strait, Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert.
