If you want to see what young love looks like, all you have to do is to look into the eyes of Scotty McCreery and fiancée Gabi Dugal.
These two are over the moon over each other.
Of course, this love has been going on for a long time. The two first met in grade school back in North Carolina before finally getting engaged in September 2017 during a hike near Grandfather Mountain in their home state.
“I just had to wait till the time was right,” Scotty told Rare Country in an interview just a couple days after the big proposal. “It was definitely more me than anything. I’ve known for a long time that she was the one.”
But now, these two look more happy and grown up than ever in their engagement photo shoot. And while both Scotty and Gabi have previously posted pics of their gorgeous shoot on their own socials, they recently shared a new pic from that shoot with “People” magazine.
The pic, which was taken by Amber Wilson Beasley and Krista Fournier of Six Foot Photography, shows the two looking awfully cozy, with Gabi holding onto Scotty’s arm and beaming. And while the other pics showed the Duke University Hospital nurse in a luscious gray sweater, this pic proves there was a bit of a wardrobe change during the shoot, with Gabi sporting a sweet pastel bell sleeve shirt and jeans.
Of course, if she looks this beautiful now, we can’t wait to see what she will be wearing on her wedding day, which will be happening sometime this year.
“We’ve already figured out the place and the time,” Scotty told “People,” “and now it’s just putting it together. We have too many guests, and now we’ve got to cut it down. That’s the hardest part.”
Scotty was even quite romantic on his socials Jan. 9, when he was simply sharing the “People” story with his fans. “By her side is where I always want to be,” he wrote.
What a sweetheart he is!
Scotty is also showing off more of his romantic side on his new album, “Seasons Change,” which is due to be released on March 16. Co-writing every song on his third studio album, Scotty used Gabi as a muse for many of the songs, including one that he wrote just a week before he proposed.
“I ended up playing her the song I had written for her,” Scotty told Rare Country about the song that he ended up playing for Gabi for the first time on the day he popped the question. “I had thought that maybe I would wait for our wedding day, but I just felt the time was right. It was a very sweet moment.”
