It’s time for round two with Steven Tyler.

The Aerosmith frontman made his first solo leap into the country world last year with “Love Is Your Name,” and country music fans welcomed him with open arms. The song went all the way to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Streaming Song chart. Maybe even more impressive, the video for that song has garnered more than 10 million views to date.

Now Steven Tyler is back with his newest single “Red, White & You,” and once again he isn’t trying to be anything other than what he is. The song itself is loud and boisterous, but it finds a nice groove straddling the line between being unique and blending in with what’s going on in country music today.

“If it was 20 years ago today or happening right now, ‘RED, WHITE & YOU’ is a shout out to everyone’s glory days,” shared Tyler. “It’s a let your hair down and drive off into the sunset with American girls makin’ dreams come true kinda song… I’M IN!”

Country purists might feel like they’re supposed to hate it, but give it a chance and don’t be surprised when you repeat it. Steven Tyler is a musician who understands the nuances of many musical genres and is capable of a lot more than you might think.
