When it comes to Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, one thing is for sure: They will always go out of their way to poke fun at each other.

So when the Maroon 5 hit-maker and stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Jan. 18, he took it upon himself to do just that.

If you recall, “People” magazine named Blake the 2017 “Sexiest Man Alive.” The country crooner revealed the news to his fellow longtime “The Voice” co-star and bromance buddy in a hilarious skit during season 13 of the reality sing-off show on NBC. Interestingly enough, Adam was voted “Sexiest Man Alive” back in 2013, following names like John F. Kennedy Jr. and David Beckham. So, it comes as no surprise that he had a few opinions about Blake’s title.

“He’s not sexy,” Adam joked of Blake, after host Jimmy Kimmel brought up the subject. “It also made it feel worse that I got it. It cheapened it a lot. It’s like sexy dudes got it before I did,” he added. “I was like, ‘Yea, cool, I guess I’m sexy like that.’ And, then Blake gets it and I’m like, ‘I guess I’m not as sexy as them then.’”

Even though Blake seems to take a lot of heat from Adam for getting the title, he was exceptionally sweet when the “Sugar” singer earned the 2013 crown.

“I give him some credit, because he actually thought it was really cool,” Adam told Jimmy, adding that Blake went above and beyond to take pride in his frenemy’s temporary role.

“When I got ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’ I made a speech on your show, and behind me was, like, this huge picture of the cover,” he told Jimmy. “It was like, so giant. I took it and framed it, and this is not a cheap practical joke. by the way. It’s a lot more expensive then I care to admit. I framed it and I sent it to [Blake’s] house in Oklahoma, and he put it up in his barn.

“It’s. like. this huge thing, and its there now,” Adam added. “I guess that lit a fire under him and now he wanted it.”

“The Voice” returns Feb. 26 with a two-hour episode that starts at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC. This season features Alicia Keys and newbie Kelly Clarkson as coaches. So we wonder whose side they’ll take when it comes to Adam and Blake’s playful ribbing.
